Heather has been painting and doing portraits since 1989, having had previous artist experience gives her a definite edge on producing high quality etchings, whether it is landscapes or a portrait. At the moment Heather owns her own business and works independently for various monument companies and would like expand and offer her services to other companies, even if it means some travel time. Heather will come to you and do the Etching This means a minimal waiting time for you and your customers depending on her schedule. This process allows you a quicker turnout rate. Most jobs can be done in one day. No complicated tax forms, MISC 1099 required for more than $600.00 work in a year, and a tax exempt form needs to be signed as well stating that the monuments are resale. Heather has her own tools needed to do the etching, all that is required is the monument that is to be worked on be dry, and laid flat around waist height. She can do stones for your display to let the customers see what can be done. (chances are if they see a custom monument they'll want one) We are currently working on a brochure with various scenes and ideas to show monument companies and their customers what can be done with hand etching, and to give them more of a variety of scenes to choose from, if they do not want to do a custom stone. ( I suggest doing a custom stone, the cost is about the same as a standard scene, and it's one of a kind.) (Most of the companies that Heather has started etching for have tripled their sales of black granite because of the high demand for custom etching, (this means additional profit for your business) She can also etch on vases, such as verses, emblems, crosses, flowers, portraits etc...She also can do etched lettering in any font. Custom Monuments On many occasions Heather has met with families to customize a monument, discuss their ideas or help them come up with an idea to personalize a stone for their lost loved one. Whether it is the person or person’s hobbies, fishing, hunting, flowers, etc… A picture of your home, cabin, or favorite camping spot, etc... Some families already know exactly what they want. The possibilities are endless. No job too big or too small. She can use pictures of a homestead or landscape scene, She can take several pictures they have and put them together to make a scene or a family portrait. Anything they want, If needed Heather can go and take digital pictures of a specific landscape, farm, home, etc…. She can reproduce a picture that they may have from a magazine, brochure, etc… Etched pet monuments seem to also be in high demand. (NOTE) ALL STONES HAVE A PRELIMINARY DRAWING IN WAX THAT IS DONE ON THE ON THE STONE FIRST THIS ALLOWS YOU AND YOUR CUSTOMERS TO SEE A LAYOUT OR GUIDELINE BEFORE THE ETCHING. STONES CAN BE ETCHED WITH OR WITHOUT THE LETTERS ALREADY SANDBLASTED . OF COURSE ALL MONUMENTS ARE FINISHED BY SEALING THEM WITH TWO COATS LITHO BASED SEALANT.
